The final composition features gallows with a Chinese-inspired pagoda top and a tasbeeh (Islamic prayer beads) as the noose. The background contains a subtle texture of a map of the Xinjiang province, referencing the Chinese region where the Uyghurs reside.
My process in designing this poster included several rounds of thumbnail ideation, featured above. These thumbnails were narrowed down through valuable feedback from my professor and fellow classmates.
